The Mayor, City Council, and Legislative delegation successfully advocated to allocate a portion of the State’s CRF funds to cities through the State FY 2020-21 budget, passed on June 29, 2020. Long Beach was awarded $40.28 million in CRF dollars for COVID-19 response. These funds must be spent by December 30, 2020, according to U.S. Treasury guidelines.

Final Update 6/22/2022: Worcester State University distributed a total of $6,660,064 in ARP funds to students. This is comprised of $$3,361,150.00 (Fall Distribution) and $3,298,914 (Spring Distribution) based on the eligibility criteria noted above. Quarterly HEERF Reports Feather River College has signed and returned an agreement with the U.S. Department of Education and will use at least 50% of the student portion of their Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) allocation to emergency grants directly to students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund provides funding for emergency financial aid grants to students, specifically for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. These funds may cover expenses such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care. Feather River College received $299,577 under the CARES Act for emergency financial aid grants to students.

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds II (HEERF II) established a second fund to allow NAU to award additional grant funds during the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2021 semesters. Additional HEERF funds were made available for the 2021-2022 academic year. HEERF III Required Website Posting Information – Q3 2021 MSU is using the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to help determine those students with the greatest need. For those students that qualify for CRRSAA funding, the award ranges between $913 and $250 based on the student’s EFC (financial need) if they completed the FAFSA and their enrollment status during the spring 2021 term.
